Policy debate

As prominent members of their communities and the profession, a number of pharmacists who are involved with the Forum are also integrally involved in local, provincial and national initiatives aimed at building a better healthcare for all South Africans.

UTi Pharma’s Customer Service Executive Murray Clark points out of the seven pharmacists involved in a recent meeting with the Minister of Health, four serve on the Forum. Three of them have attended the NCPA congress in the United States as guests of UTi Pharma. “The Pharmacy Advisory Forum is symbolic of our commitment to independent pharmacists, and we are pleased that the Forum helps facilitate debate and discovery – through the NCPA for example – and this ultimately is helping build a better pharmacy landscape in SA, which will help us all ensure we make healthcare accessible, one of the key aims of the Government’s healthcare charter.”
